TO GREET GROWN UPS
When you greet grown ups or someone who is older to you, it is polite to say:
Bonjour Madame.
Bonjour Monsieur.
Bonjour Mademoiselle.
Say Monsieur, Madame or Mademoiselle, to greet people, whose names you do not know. Address a man as Monsieur, a lady as Madame and a young girl as Mademoiselle.
TO SAY GOOD NIGHT
Good night is bonne nuit and is said last thing at night.
TO SAY GOODBYE OR SEE YOU SOON
au revoir, à bientôt — goodbye/see you soon.
After greeting someone and saying 'hello', you will learn to introduce yourself- ask the other person his or her name and tell yours, ask the other person his or her age and find out what they do, where they live etc.
